The Notebook Journey: I'm #91 on the list!
Just a quick note to share that I've joined The Notebook Journey and I'm # 91. I'm so excited to be involved in this great project, which I'm sure will be a very interesting and inspiring one indeed!
The Notebook Journey is a beautiful idea of "sharing thoughts around the world..." it will travel through many hands and countries and will hopefully be made into a hardcover book.
LOVE IT!
So far there are over 90 people and 9 countries involved! Laurnie over at some whine with cheese (who's the blogger behind the genius) says there are still spaces available so head over and check it out! (there's a button to the right)

LAUGH MY ARSE OFF #1: Mixed Emotions
A husband and wife were sitting watching a TV program about psychology and explaining the phenomenon of "mixed emotions".
The husband turned to his wife and said, "Honey, that is a bunch of crap. I bet you can't tell me anything that will make me happy and sad at the same time.
She said: "Out of all your friends, you have the biggest dick."
Ha ha ha, thanks Michelle...LOVE IT!

Hammer-time!
I find myself making a list of rules every Monday morning as I lie in bed bitching about getting up - from this day forward I will exercise, I will not drink wine, I will resist the vending machine, I will eat well, I will not smoke, I will have an 'un-plugged' night where I don't watch TV or stare at my mac...and the list goes on....I will not spend too much money, I will drink green tea...I will not do too much...blah blah blah!
Tell me...how is a girl meant to find a little fun and happiness in her day when there are all these damn rules and pressures and expectations to live up to!!!???
Anxiety - Phew - breathe!
It's like, come Monday you feel it's a new break, a chance to right all the wrong you've done the week before...so quick let's fix all the problems...by Sunday I will be, well be happy and healthy.
So this week I will take a different approach, I'll focus on turning one of these rules into a commitment to my health and happiness...(because let's face it I do have some bad habits) I think by taking it from being a rule and making it a commitment I will attach positive feelings towards the task at hand.
I read an article last night ... we are a heading into the decade of 'Health and Happiness' this is the time to slow down and look at what really makes you happy, in short 'being' rather than 'doing' gone are the days of the success-no-matter-what-the-cost attitude.
Multitasking is out the window - studies say that multitasking is less productive than focusing on completing one task at a time. Your mind will have more clarity, you will be relaxed and be far more successful.
So in the spirit of Health and Happiness - I will exercise at least 4 days this week. Consisting of one Yoga session and three sessions where I sweat it out... to be continued...
